Morgan wins TopGolfer Invite at Mount Wolseley

Playing in the penultimate group on day which attracted over 130 competitors, Dave Morgan (5) took advantage of the glorious evening sunshine at Mount Wolseley, shooting a 73 (+1) to claim victory in the TopGolfer Junior Scratch Cup. The El Valle golfer is the 25th qualifier for the TopGolfer Tour Championship. Mount Wolseley member, Eric Bates (5) was sure he has done enough to take the title with a superb 74 (+2), which led for most of the day, only to be pipped at the twelfth hour. It was a super effort from the much fancied local golfer.

The Par-72 Championship Course proved just how difficult it can play from the white tees, as the CSS came in at 74 (+2).

Paul Behan (5) from St. Annes came 3rd with 75 (+3) and 4th place went to Dell Todd (7) from Castlecomer with 76 (+4).

Unfortunately we have no photos from the event as our shooter was committed to our other TopGolfer Tour event in Galgorm Castle so apologies sincerely to all of you who have been asking!
