Peter Duane wins TopGolfer JSC at Lee Valley

Congratulations to Peter Duane (7) from Doneraile Golf Club who secured his place at the TopGolfer Tour Championship in October with a very impressive round of 72 at Lee Valley to win the TopGolfer Junior Scratch Cup. Peter edged out Brian Foley (6) of Raffeen Creek who shot a superb 74 on what was a real challenge off the blue markers at Lee Valley. In third was Bernard O'Sullivan (9) followed by Greg O'Mahony (9) both from Lee Valley.

There were 162 competitors for the event all of whom braved the steady rain on a day when the tour finally ran out of luck with the weather. It really had no affect though on everyone's enthusiasm, mainly due to the wonderful condition of the golf course and the competitive nature of all those who played on the day.
