Rory Dean wins at Powerscourt

Rory Deane (5) of Rosslare GC took the TopGolfer Junior Scratch Cup title at Powerscourt yesterday with a round of 78 on what was a fantastic challenge off the blue markers on the East Course. Two Slade Valley members, Terry Lilly (5) and Pat Lynch (6) were close behind with rounds of 79 and 80 respectively to complete the top 3. Another Rosslare member, Dermot Walsh (5) took fourth spot.

The golf course was in magnificent condition with lightening fast greens (running 11.2 on the stimp) and the 87 competitors enjoyed glorious sunshine for the day. The provisional CSS for the event is 74 (Par 72). Thanks again to all of you who continue to follow the tour around the country and for those of you who were new to TopGolfer yesterday, thank you for your great feedback – we’re delighted you enjoyed it.
