For a quarter of a century, the Kartel brand has been synonymous with providing superior styling and quality in the golf and leisurewear market. As an Irish brand, we are extremely proud to be at the heart of the game of golf at all levels. In 1996 we signed an emerging Irish golfer, Padraig Harrington. Since then, our partnership has gone from strength to strength and we are delighted to have supported Padraig throughout his three Major wins.

Since signing our first sponsorship agreement 14 years ago, Kartel has supported numerous promising Irish players including 2009 Irish Open winner, Shane Lowry.

Today we remain heavily involved in championing up and coming tour players. Paul O’Hanlon, Cian McNamara, Barrie Trainer, Alan Murray and European Tour player, Gary Murphy are some of the young Irish talent currently sporting the iconic Kartel clothing brand. We are delighted to now come on board as the official clothing partner of the TopGolfer Tour 2010.

Kartel has a lot to look forward to in 2010. Not only are we proud to continue supporting Champion, Tour and grassroot players, but the Kartel brand also celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. We are also excited to once again be the Official Clothing Supplier to both the 3 Irish Open and the Ricoh Women’s British Open.

The Kartel brand was established in 1985. The brand is part of a family owned Irish business based in Dublin. The company story began in 1947 when a young tailor, John Swan, set up a small clothing company in two small rooms above a pub in Dublin’s Hill Street. Initially, the company was a gentleman’s outfitter specialising in suits, jackets and trousers. Over a period of more than 60 years the company has extended their collection into a broad offer of men’s and ladies golfing, business and casual jeanswear collections.
